ZX/RX Series Overview
The Radionic ZX/RX series are the first series of undercabinet fixtures introduced by Radionic Hi-Tech in 2008. After years of development, this task light is beautiful, bright and affordable too!
The light output of the ZX/RX series is well distributed by the carefully spaced LEDs to a 120° angle, allowing perfect light distribution. Since our ZX/RX series fixtures have between 56 and 80 LEDs, it allows it to distribute the light evenly across the entire fixture, eliminating those bright spots normally seen in fixtures with fewer (2-12) but larger LEDs.
Our engineering team did not forget about convenience. Included with each fixture is a quick connect power cord, easy to install mounting clips, a inter-connect cord that allows multiple fixtures to be connected together, and a "butt" connector that allows two fixtures to be mounted side by side with no space between them.
The ZX/RX series were the first undercabinet fixtures in the world to adopt the Lighting Facts label. Since 2008, we continously improved the series. The improvements were so dramatic, that in a national accredited lab test conducted in Fall 2011, our ZX/RX series fixtures showed exciting improvements. The efficiency improved to over 60 lumens per watt! The total light output also increased and the Color Rendering Index (CRI) improved to over 71 CRI.
Another key element of the ZX/RX fixtures is the low operating temperature. The fixtures operate on average only 11°C above ambinent temperature measured on the surface of the fixture, and about 12.2°C above ambinent temperature measured at the LEDs.
The ZX/RX series is so reliable, that since 2008, the internal driver or led field failure rate has been under 0.1% (or the equivalent of 1 of every 1000 fixtures - while the industry averages about 3.5% or 35 out of 1000).
